A Cinderella story if there ever was one. They beat the odds. Literally. Prince Charming AKA Mathew Tkachuk came through. Hovering around the Bruins goalie like a shark waiting to pounce on a minnow, he got the puck & slick as slime snucked it passed the Bruins and in to the net.
So far in this series, it seems that whoever makes the first goal wins the game. As if that head start gains momentum for a snowball like effect.
We went back & forth like a ping pong match with getting a score & then having the Bruins steal another goal. It almost felt like stealing your siblings shirt, only to find out they stole yours too.
The whole stadium was electric from start to finish waving white flags of joy in the air. Good thing to, that roller coaster like rush was just what the team needed. After the game Coach said “they feed off the fans excitement.”
I firmly believe Tkachuk manifested this win by saying to the team while in Boston, “remember this room boys will be here in game 7.”
Here we are, on the road back to Boston & the talk of the town in all of the NHL.
May the ice be fresh & the first goal be ours.
