LeMahieu is the Yankee’s lifeboat they didn’t know they needed.

The series against the Rangers last night 4/27/23 was off to a rocky start, where it seemed like the former Yankee pitcher, Andrew Heaney was giving us a run for our money. As the ball comes at you swiftly from the hands of a left-hander we have to give the Yanks a little bit of grace, it can be a challenge to get used to when you’re in the batter’s box. Why else did it seem like everyone went down swinging in the first inning? (Heaney struck out 6 batters in the course of the game).

Nevertheless, we persisted. LeMahieu was the lifeboat the Yankees didn’t know they needed as he brought the score up to 1-0 with a drive over to right field.

Gleyber Torres might just be my hero for doing a light jog over to the home plate, touching the base while simultaneously picking up a bat in one fall swoop. I mean is this a great game or what?

Gerrit Cole is still the GOAT. Anthony Volpe moved from the 9th spot in the lineup to the first, before Judge and proved himself to be a clutch hitter. Aaron Judge for whatever reason loves to swing at pitches above the lettering on his jersey, but is still our MVP and I’m thinking of wearing all black today in regard to his hip discomfort. Let’s all say grace tonight & pray that Judge isn’t on the injured list, it’s bad enough Stanton pulled a hammy. If he could just stay healthy the Stallion, could be a Hall of Famer.
